Summary Of Responsibilities

Assists in the overall administration of company provided benefits with primary responsibility for administration of Family and Medical Leave (FMLA), short and long-term disability and other covered leaves of absence.

Rate of pay: $20-$24 per hour

Location: This is a hybrid position with a base located in Fishers, In at our Corporate Headquarters

Essential Job Functions

  • Handles benefit inquiries and concerns to insure quick, equitable and courteous resolution. Maintains contact in person and by phone or email with employees, beneficiaries and insurance companies to facilitate complete utilization of benefits for all employees.
  • Administers FMLA, ensuring compliance with state and federal law. Communicates employee leave status with Payroll and HR department, as needed. Maintains tracking spreadsheet for field HR reps.
  • Coordinates the processing of life, short-term disability and long-term disability claims including completion of paperwork and responding to employee, beneficiary, and carrier inquiries
  • Managing administration of new hire enrollment including mailing and tracking eligibility notifications. Partners with benefits service center on employee changes and inquiries.
  • Assists employees with benefit changes due to qualifying life events and gather backup documentation.
  • Monitors and responds/redirects incoming correspondence to Benefits e-mail box
  • Maintains employee benefit records
  • Completes required training classes
  • Adheres to quality compliance requirements
  • All other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned

Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree and 2+ years’ equivalent work experience required, or appropriate work experience
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize
  • Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information
  • Ability to be flexible and adapt to change
  • Functions well in a team environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Professionalism/Ethics
  • Ability to listen/communicate clearly and professionally
  • Available to work assigned hours based on business needs
