We're currently looking for a Vehicle Project Management Engineer to join our team in Farmington Hills.

As staff of the Chief Vehicle Engineer, the vehicle Program Management department manages the Cost, Quality, and Timing of the vehicle and reports status in milestone meetings from concept through start of production. The VPM Engineer works for NTCNA's Chief Vehicle Engineer to manage the overall vehicle development.

Job functions include but are not limited to:

  • Early Phase involvement to decide program Content and Overall Development schedule
  • Prepare Activity plans to support overall development (Concept Phase, Digital Development, Physical Development)
  • Lead and give direction to Project Team to meet Milestone deliverables
  • Manage Program Cost, Quality and Timing
  • Prepare summary material and present at Milestone Decision Meetings
  • Coordinate issue resolution

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related engineering discipline
  • 2 or more years of directly related professional-level engineering experience
  • Ability to communicate effectively, strong interpersonal skills, and ability to lead and influence others
  • Demonstrated history for taking proactive approach
  • Self-motivated, assertive, learner, fair, transparent and remains calm in the face of stressful situations
  • Up to 20% day and overnight travel
  • Flexibility to attend occasional evening meetings with Japan
