Are you ready to transition out of public accounting?! This is the perfect MOSTLY REMOTE role for you in Farmington Hills! Only need to go onsite 1-2 days/month :) Must be transitioning directly from public accounting in an audit/assurance capacity looking to break into corporate accounting. This team will consider a Staff or Sr. Accountant level.

Join an accounting team of 20 (with 4 managers) in a rotational-style program where you can learn all about full-cycle accounting and can say goodbye to audit! Quick & easy one step interview process.
Responsibilities:
- Compiles and analyzes financial information to prepare timely entries to general ledger accounts
- Plays a key supporting role for the month-end close process
- Prepares monthly account reconciliations, analyzes general ledger accounts, and prepares monthly variance analysis.
- Compiles and prepares forecasts and budgets.
- Investigates and prepares explanations of account variances
- Ensures compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and company accounting policies and procedures.
- Analyzes data and trends and prepares reports as needed.
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance (or a related field)
- Understanding of GAAP principles
- 2yrs+ of public accounting experience (does not need to be Big 4) for Staff Accountant or 3yrs+ for Senior Staff Accountant
- CPA a nice to have but not required
