POSITION SUMMARY
The Mortgage Loan Processor is responsible for gathering, reviewing, and preparing loan documentation to support the approval and closing of mortgage loans. This role requires excellent attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with loan applicants, lenders, underwriters, and other relevant parties.
Responsibilities
Broad Knowledge & Experience: Deep understanding of mortgage banking industry and loan products. Clear understanding of the current RESPA and lending laws and guidelines.
Above Average Skills: Strong communication and mathematical skills with ability to manage multiple files and competing priorities simultaneously .
Demonstrated Ability: Ability to carry an pipeline, manage file deadlines and work independently in a team environment. Strong understanding of LOS software.
General Knowledge: High attention to detail, strong work ethic.
Degree or Equivalent: 2-4 year college curriculum in business, finance, or accounting preferred.
Years’ Experience: Minimum two years experience and/or training.
Specialized Training: Knowledge of LOS (Encompass) software, FHA Connection, Desktop Underwriter, Loan Prospector and Data Verify Internet software, and other loan operations related applications.
Physical Demands: Office or home office environment; Daily computer usage requires close vision. Regular attendance is required, regardless of work location.
Work Conditions: Fast paced, high volume activities.
Temperament: In order to succeed in this position high attention to detail, and organization, amidst fast changing environment is a must.
Salary Description
$50,000-$60,.000 plus bonus

Responsibilities
- Review initial loan applications and verify borrower information for completeness and accuracy. Reach out to borrower or relevant parties for any missing documentation.
- Contact specified outside vendors to obtain property abstract, survey, and appraisal.
- Assemble, prepare, and review all loan files and supporting documents required for underwriting, ensuring compliance with all company, industry and lending guidelines in preparation for Underwriting submit and review.
- Act as a liaison between borrowers, loan officers, underwriters, and external vendors by providing timely updates regarding loan status.
- Manage assigned loan pipeline and prioritize loans based on deadlines, commitment and closing dates. Identify any potential issues or red flags during the loan process and work proactively with borrowers and loan officers to resolve them.
