Photo/Video Assistant Job Summary

The Photo/Video Assistant position is a nonexempt position responsible for: (1) working with the Marketing Director and Head of Photo & Video Production to create high quality images and videos for marking purposes by assisting with shooting and editing of photography and videography, and (2) performing other duties as assigned by the Marketing Director and Head of Photo & Video Production.

Photo/Video Assistant Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Assist Head of Photo & Video Production with marketing tasks
  • Shoot live music, concert, nightlife and restaurant photography and videography to create high quality images and videos in a timely manner for marking purposes
  • Edit photos and videos for social media and marketing use
  • Maintain a positive, high, well-balanced energy level throughout the entire shift
  • Exhibit consistently dependable, reliable, punctual, and trustworthy conduct
  • Perform all job duties in a respectful and professional manner, and work professionally with the Marketing Director, Head of Photo & Video Production, other Good Time Design staff members, and each venue’s management team and staff members
  • Any additional responsibilities as directed by the Marketing Director and Head of Photo & Video Production


PHOTO/VIDEO ASSISTANT SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILL, AND ABILITY

  • Ability to create and edit photography and videography to produce high quality photo and video content in a timely manner to meet the Company’s production and quality expectations as determined in the sole discretion of the Marketing Director, Head of Photo & Video Production and other management team members
  • Ability to work effectively in a night club environment and perform job duties in a manner that does not interfere with the operations or interfere with the performance of the venue’s management team and staff members
  • Proficient in Adobe Suite (Lightroom and Premiere Pro)
  • Proficient in Effects and Photoshop
  • Experience Shooting and editing photography and videography in the nightlife and event industries
  • Ability to read, write and speak the English language to interact with guests, the public, and employees
  • Proficient verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and professionally deal with stressful situations during busy periods in a loud, busy, and crowded environment


QUALIFICATION STANDARDS

Education

High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred

Experience

Minimum of two years’ experience in editing and shooting videography and photography

Age

Must be at least 21 to meet minimum age requirement of the State of California

Licenses or Certificates

CPR certification and/or First Aid training preferred

GROOMING

All employees must wear the proper uniform and maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance in accordance with the Company’s grooming standards.

Physical Requirements/Working Environment

  • Must be able to work in an environment with constantly elevated temperatures
  • Must be able to work and move quickly in a tight-space environment in a safe manner without disrupting other employees
  • Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs.


Hourly Rate Range: $22.00 to $25.00 per hour
