Who we are Seeking:

We are looking for a self-motivated individual to assist the VP of Development with new property construction and continuous re-modeling within our concepts across the Greater Houston Area. Begin your career in the Construction field by engaging in our Development Projects under the guidance of Senior Leadership. No prior experience is needed, as you'll work under the guidance of experienced professionals to learn to safely perform a variety of tasks.

Construction Technician Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain communication between vendors and contractors
• Research, develop and write detailed solutions
• Manage changes and ensure proper distribution of construction documents and/or project scope to ensure that the most current documents are being used
• Coordinate with project team to ensure materials are available when needed on site
• Collect appropriate measurements and understand corresponding design documents
• Review and verify constructability of plans and specifications
• Delegate tasks and direction when necessary
• Organizational skills for detailed record keeping including qualifications, certifications and contract history, terms and conditions
• Efficiently track procurement including agenda, timelines and modifications where vendor buyout and revisions will be controlled.
  
  
  

Basic Requirements:

• Lift up to 75 pounds at one time and at least 50 pounds for an extended period.
• Travel to various locations when required
• Familiarity with basic power tools and necessary equipment
• Can climb and maintain balance on scaffolds, aerial lifts, catwalks, and all types of ladders.
• Full ability to bend, stoop, crouch, kneel, turn, twist, crawl, squat, walk, climb, push, pull, and reach overhead on a routine and repetitive basis.
• Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures. Report all unsafe activities to supervisor and/or Human Resources. Meet all OSHA safety requirements
• Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.
