Short’s Travel Management, a leading provider of NCAA Athletic travel for collegiate athletics has a immediate opening for a Sr. Accounting Specialist with it’s accounting department. This role will be responsible for reconciling credit card charges, creating and sending invoices to customers for credit card usage, maintaining and organizing reconciliation documentation, and conducting timely AR collections. They will work closely with other remote team members to ensure timely and accurate processing of invoices and collection of credit card usage payments.

This role will be responsible for reconciling credit card charges, creating and sending invoices to customers for credit card usage, maintaining and organizing reconciliation documentation, and conducting timely AR collections. They will work closely with other remote team members to ensure timely and accurate processing of invoices and collection of credit card usage payments.
Essential Functions
- Ensures accuracy and timeliness of credit card usage billings by meeting monthly deadlines with all necessary documentation included.
- Oversees maintaining healthy AR balances by monitoring the weekly AR report and issuing reminders to and following up with customers.
- Demonstrates organization and time management skills to meet daily/weekly/monthly volume by maintaining consistent invoicing schedule in line with individual customer contracts.
- Follows through on open items such as credit card statements and Salesforce reports with team members, hotels, and schools to meet deadlines.
- We are a team at Short’s Travel Management and as such, you may be expected to assist in other departments or handle tasks outside of your typical position scope for the benefit of our clients or company. Other responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in accounting/bookkeeping OR an equivalent combination of education and experience required. Experience with expense reporting. Any travel agency experience/background would be a plus.
- Must be detailed oriented.
- Excellent communication and inter-personal skills.
- Maintain high level of confidentiality regarding client and company financial information
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Previous experience with accounting software platforms, preferably Certina.
- Salesforce experience required
- Proven aptitude for technology and/or software solutions and analytical skills required.
