Duties/Day to Day Overview
Role breakdown
70% - Operations work – triage, trouble shoot, monitor applications – working across all parts of the customer journey (landing page, PIP, browse, cart, checkout flow, etc).
30% - Engineering work - building automation tools/tasks, etc.
Top Requirements
(Must haves)
8+ years of software engineering experience
Full stack experience – knowledge of Java/J2EE backend services
Strong UI skills – experience with JavaScript (ES5/ES6+), Vue.js, Angular, React, Node.js, etc.
Production support experience from ecommerce domain is a must
Ecommerce / B2C / Customer facing application experience
Problem solver, strong trouble shooting skills, comfortable identifying and designing automation to eliminate repetitive tasks
Experience with monitoring tools: AppDynamics, Dynatrace, ELK, Splunk, etc.
Additional Qualifications
(Nice to Haves)
Good communication skills
Experience in utilizing (or designing) REST APIs.
Experience with version control (git/svn), and continuous integration tools
Knowledgeable in web best practices (e.g., browser capabilities, unit, and integration testing)
Experience providing hands-on monitoring as well as authoring monitoring and alerting using multiple toolsets.
