Our customer is a rapidly growing turnkey fall protection company dedicated to eliminating one of the greatest threats to employee safety; falls from elevated work environments. We handle every aspect of fall protection systems, including design, engineering, fabrication, installation, training, and inspection. We are located in North Charleston, SC but serve customers nationwide. We have an exciting opportunity as a Drafter for the ideal candidate.
We are looking for a Drafter to work with our team to create and convert designs into technical plans and participate in the estimating process. This is an In-Office, In-Person position.
Drafter responsibilities include gathering drawings and specifications, calculating material and equipment requirements, and communicating production methods with our team of fabricators. If you have hands-on experience with computer-aided design (CAD) software (preferably AutoCAD & Inventor) and are familiar with fabrication processes, we?d like to meet you.
This is an in person, non remote opportunity.
Responsibilities
working with the team you will take field notes and dimensions and turn them into a background
A top down plan view elevation to scale views ( no hard dimensions)
Ability to verify work
Create connections points and links
Create details within the system
Strong problem solving if things don't work out "the way we thought"
Working hours: 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM
Skills
Proven work experience as a Drafter or similar role
Hands-on experience with computer-aided design (CAD) software
Familiarity with 3D modeling tools
Good math skills
Ability to meet deadlines
Education
Bachelors
Experience
1-4 years
Qualifications
BS in Engineering, Architecture, or a degree from a technical college
Proven work experience as a Drafter or similar role
Hands-on experience with computer-aided design (CAD) software
Familiarity with 3D modeling tools
Salary range: $50-60k
