Job Overview

We are seeking a meticulous Inspector A to join our esteemed team, dedicated to ensuring the highest quality standards for electromechanical instruments and assemblies. This pivotal role involves inspecting and validating a diverse array of components, including power supply assemblies, sheet metal chassis, wire harnesses, and machined parts to confirm adherence to specified requirements and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct detailed inspections and testing of electromechanical components and finished assemblies to ensure compliance with specifications.
  • Review technical documentation, including work orders and wiring diagrams, collaborating with supervisors and engineers to ascertain product dimensions and specifications.
  • Examine electrical, structural, and mechanical components for defects in assembly, soldering, bonding, and finishing in accordance with IPC standards.
  • Utilize precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers to assess dimensions and verify the accurate placement of features on components.
  • Perform electrical testing of components and finished products, employing equipment like oscilloscopes and multimeters.
  • Document and maintain meticulous records of inspection and testing results in the organization's database, facilitating corrective action processes when necessary.
  • Support the calibration efforts of precision measuring instruments and assist in the inspection of incoming purchased parts and materials.

Required Skills

  • Proficient in the use of general inspection hand tools including calipers, thread gauges, and micrometers.
  • Strong understanding of Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) processes.
  • Familiarity with Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) as per ANSI Y14.5 standards.
  • Knowledge of IPC-A-610 and IPC-A-620 standards is preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative team-oriented environment.

Qualifications

  • A high school diploma is required.
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in Electro-Mechanical inspection.
  • Experience with ISO 9001 or AS9100 in aerospace or defense manufacturing.
  • Hands-on expertise in inspecting electrical assemblies, cables, and mechanical components.
  • Familiarity with First Article Inspections (FAI) to AS9102 Standard is preferred.
