Role Overview

As a Business Intelligence Analyst, you will be at the heart of our data-driven decision-making process. You will ensure data integrity, perform in-depth analysis, and create insightful business intelligence reports. This high-visibility role involves daily interaction with executive management across Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Operations.

Requirements

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Data Accuracy: Monitor and ensure the ongoing accuracy of business intelligence data by collaborating with external partners and internal teams to investigate, analyze, and resolve discrepancies.
  • Data Utilization: Recommend and implement procedures for data collection, analysis, and utilization.
  • Technology Deployment: Assist in deploying new software and hardware solutions to enhance data utilization and operational efficiency.
  • Reporting & Insights: Lead front-end reporting efforts, providing actionable commercial insights and supporting the design, testing, and validation of new reporting systems.
  • Sales Support: Equip the sales team with business intelligence tools and resources to enable data-driven selling and insights; assisting in annual planning
  • Marketing Analysis: Deliver marketing analyses and insights to support strategic decision-making.
  • Opportunity Decks: Create compelling business opportunity decks using internal data, syndicated data (IRI), and market research.
  • Advanced Analytics: Conduct advanced custom analytics projects to measure the effectiveness of sales and marketing activities and monitor market trends.

Qualifications

  • Business Acumen: Solid business acumen and problem-solving skills.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and data management skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
  • Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with data structures, basic database management, and business intelligence platforms and applications.
  • Commitment to Quality: Dedication to quality, accuracy, and continuous improvement.
  • Presentation Skills: Ability to independently create executive-ready business status and opportunity pitch decks.
  • Team Building & Collaboration: Ability to work effectively within a team structure.
  • Project Management: Strong project management skills with the ability to plan and prioritize work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Software Skills: Competence in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint.

Education & Experience

  • Degree: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Mathematics, Data Science, or a related field.
  • Experience: 3-5 years of experience in a business intelligence role within a consumer products firm, preferably in beverage alcohol.
  • Industry Experience: Professional experience working with or for major US chain retailers or wholesalers is a plus.

Other Skills and Abilities: User experience with business intelligence tools currently in use at HPE is a plus:

  • NIELSEN, IRI, MICROSOFT DYNAMICS (NAV), TARGIT, TRADEPARENCY, COMMERCE7, VIP KARMA, and ADAPTIVE

This role’s compensation is anticipated to fit within the range of $95,000 to $105,000. These figures represent what we reasonably expect to pay for this position, but the actual compensation offered will depend upon numerous job-related factors, including but not limited to candidate skills, experience, knowledge and education.
