Responsibilities

Mailroom team transports and delivers mail, medical instruments, x-rays, charts, food orders, supplies, laundry and many other items throughout the Luther Campus in Eau Claire, such as but not limited to lab specimens and medications. In emergency situations, mailroom employees may also deliver to local hospitals and satellite locations. Many other courier duties include training on bloodborne pathogens, spill kits, suspicious packages, bomb threat, defensive driving, dispatching, and U.S. Postal requirements to name a few. Other job related training include; JCAHO, read and signs, and reviewing of department manuals. Mailroom team sorts inter-office and U.S. Postal mail on a daily basis coming from the post office and many incoming courier routes. They weigh and post mail for the out-going L M Presort Service and U.S. Postal Service. Other mail duties include certified, express, international, library, pre-sort, bulk, junk, look up mail and light maintenance duties on postal machines.

Qualifications

High School graduate or equivalent. Ability to read and communicate effectively in English. Good Inter-personal, organizational, and problem solving skills. Must be detail and time oriented, self-motivated, receptive to new ideas, and able to work well with team members. Has to be able to adapt to changing and stressful situations. Must be willing to drive in adverse weather conditions. Good driving skills. Must be a self-starter who requires minimum supervision.Valid driver's license.
