Data Analytics Analyst, Supply Chain Optimization

PBF Energy Inc. (NYSE:PBF) is one of the largest independent refiners in North America, operating through its subsidiaries, oil refineries and related facilities. We are seeking a talented Data Analytics Analyst, Supply Chain Optimization to join our team as a pivotal member that would play a key role here at PBF Energy. This role would be located onsite at our Company headquarters in Parsippany, NJ.

The ideal candidate will leverage data-driven insights, predictive analytics, and innovative strategies to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve overall supply chain performance for each regional asset. The position provides direct exposure to several functional groups (including commercial and operations) and allows for direct impact on the growth trajectory of PBF Energy.

PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Utilize advanced data analytics tools and methodologies to gather, process, and interpret large datasets to identify trends, risks, and opportunities within the supply chain
• Cross-functional collaboration with logistics, operations, and finance teams to align strategies with broader business objectives
• Create dashboards, visual reports, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to communicate findings and insights to operational teams for real-time decision support
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives by identifying process inefficiencies and leveraging technology and data to streamline processes
• Understand regional market price drivers, local supply/demand balances, market arbitrage economics, and other pertinent market supply information to drive organizational change to improve financial competitiveness in the region
• Develop innovative supply strategies using rigorous data analysis and creative problem solving to develop low-cost implementable and sustainable solutions to maximize margin capture growth across region
• Actively support management of regional hydrocarbon inventory and facilitate financial risk management analysis
• Support corporate-wide initiatives ranging from investment & performance analysis, market entry/new product evaluation, financial/annual plan, and cost allocation
• Independently create supply/demand financial & simulation models to evaluate strategic and M&A business opportunities
  
  

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree required
• 1-3 years relevant professional experience, including finance, mathematics, statistical modelling, and/or planning & economics
• Expert MS Office Proficiency
• Understanding of Power Pivots, Data modelling and DAX language
• Basic SQL understanding including ER diagram and query writing
• Experience in data visualization tools such as Power BI and/or Tableau
• Excellent written, oral, and visual communicator with practical business acumen and ability to distill complex information into clear, compelling, action items
• Collaborative mindset towards teamwork and new idea generation, understanding stakeholder needs and aligning with shared goals
• Disciplined data-based decision making with a focus on improving financial results
• Effective planning, organization, and work prioritization
• Experience in managing multiple projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines, and achieving business objectives
