United Wholesale Mortgage is looking for applicants interested in stepping into Information Technology as a Quality Assurance Analyst (QA). In our QA-X (Quality Analyst Experience) training program, you will learn the skills necessary to become a successful Associate Quality Assurance Analyst. The program focuses on learning the techniques and processes needed to ensure that quality is applied in every area of IT. During the program, you will have opportunities to complete job shadows, case studies, projects, courses, and assignments that will help prepare you to transition into the role of a QA.

After graduation from the program, you will be placed on one of UWM’s Technology Teams as an Associate Quality Assurance Analyst.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Train in a classroom environment on the basics of quality assurance analysis at United Wholesale Mortgage
  • Learn the expectations, standards, and systems of a QA at United Wholesale Mortgage
  • Identify gaps in requirements from business enhancements
  • Estimate effort for the creation and execution of manual test cases
  • Create test plans for user stories
  • Design and create test cases (positive and negative)
  • Perform smoke, functional, and regression test execution
  • Log defects with clear steps to reproduce and validate the fix
  • Provide a confidence score for deploying software to production
  • Work on an IT team after initial program training with ongoing team support

Must Have Qualifications

  • Experience working in the mortgage industry or information technology related role
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, and OneNote
  • Ability to collaborate with other roles to drive a project forward
