VetsEZ is seeking a Business Process Analyst to support our client, the Department of Veterans Affairs, in providing customer service desk support. The Business Process Analyst will have experience understanding the needs of the client/business and translating project requirements to internal and external stakeholders to complete deliverables. They will additionally be responsible for interfacing with high-level level clients to provide functional support throughout a governance body standup, management, and project lifecycle.

The candidate must reside within the continental US.

Responsibilities

  • Translate complex and ambiguous client problems into clear and actionable strategies and solutions.
  • Communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders, using storytelling and visualization techniques to convey strategy and governance insights and recommendations.
  • Develop epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria to facilitate the understanding of the functionality to the client and development teams.
  • Work with the Business Line leads to support development of a project plan, product strategy, and roadmap based on the understanding of the business needs and pain points.
  • Maintain program backlog by engaging with the clients, stakeholders, subject matter experts and business architects.
  • Prepare standard reports to update clients and internal team leadership on project status.
  • Facilitate meetings with clients, using design thinking and agile methodologies to co-create and validate governance and management solutions.
  • Provide project management support for workgroup facilitation and development of operating plans.

Requirements

  • 1-5 years of experience in requirements or business intelligence analysis.
  • Familiarity with process mapping.
  • Strong experience with Project Management tools (e.g. MS Project, JIRA).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for understanding project needs/requirements and relaying those requirements to external stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational skills to maintain and track towards project timelines and milestones, field and prioritize requests from clients and stakeholders, and validate all product specifications are met.
  • Familiarity with data management and organizational governance principles.
  • Extensive experience with Microsoft Office suite of applications.
  • Familiarity with Joint DoD-VA governance and policies.
  • Ability to quickly adapt and excel in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must hold a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in a related field.
  • Must be a US Citizen or Green Card holder with ability and willingness to acquire a U.S. Public Trust.
