Refugee Case Aide

What You Will Do

The Refugee Case Aide is a non-exempt position responsible for support of the Case Manager, Program Manager, and Program Director.

• Identify community resources suitable for refugees needs such as housing, affordable childcare, and employment.
• Assist with scheduling appointments, applying for services, and online benefits.
• Assist with onsite apartment setups in the Greater Tampa Bay area, purchasing of groceries and household items.
• Communicate with potential clients for evaluation of services and provide appropriate referrals as needed.
• Assist with internal file monitoring.
• Provide clerical and client records support.
• Track and keep current various service logs and calendars.
• Complete required service reports as needed.
• Assist with coordinating volunteer and intern tasks.
• Assist with online school registration.
• Maintain established productivity requirements as established by the supervisor.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

What You Will Need

• Bachelors degree in social work, psychology, education, or a related field preferred.
• Experience working in fast paced, detail-oriented environment preferred.
• Considerable knowledge of community organizations and resources.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and Outlook).
• Detailed oriented and able to maintain current accurate records with efficiency.
• Bilingual, Spanish strongly preferred.
• As a requirement of this position, may be required to use personal car to transport clients. Must have a valid drivers' license with auto insurance coverage.
