FI Consulting is seeking a full-time AnalystConsultant to work in our Arlington, VA headquarters and throughout the Metro DC area on client projects.

Responsibilities include:

  • Partnering with client staff at peer level to understand issues and needs while working to solve challenges through the development of specific analytical tools
  • Developing and validating financial models and analytical tool(s)/software used for portfolio management, valuation/pricing/costing, financial reporting, budgeting, and strategic decision-making
  • Defining functional requirements and designing testing strategies for analytical software applications
  • Analyzing and interpreting complex data sets in various software packages using statistical and econometric techniques
  • Clearly communicating complex, technical concepts to technical and non-technical clients
  • Planning and executing project tasks
  • Working closely with internal Project Managers and teammates to facilitate project support
  • Actively seeking out opportunities for FI to expand the solutions we offer to our clients
  • Securing and protecting company and client data and information and prevent its improper disclosure

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree: Economics, Finance, Accounting, Math or other applicable quantitative or technical field
  • 0-2 years’ experience working in financial services
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Access, Word, Outlook, Teams and PowerPoint
  • Familiar with at least one of the following programming or similar languages; VBA, SAS, SQL, Python, Stata, MATLAB, or R
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills
  • Able to work in a fast-paced, demanding, deadline-driven, project-based environment, where the schedule can be unpredictable
  • High attention to detail and ability to ensure high quality work
  • Team player – willingness to contribute to all tasks needed to accomplish team goals
  • Demonstrated ability to learn and apply new concepts quickly, and to take on a broad range of analytical tasks
  • Excellent organizational, andwritten and oral communication skills
  • Strong interest in technology
  • Ability to work independently and within a team

Additional requirements:

  • Authorized to work in the United States as a permanent resident or US Citizen
    • We are not able to sponsor or accept any visa holders including H1B and OPT
  • Successfully pass a background investigation and drug screening
  • Reside in the DC Metro area within 30 days of hire
