Supervision of all warehouse functions and operating an efficient, clean, and safe warehouse.

Maintains a clean warehouse by ensuring the floors are swept daily, aisles are clear of equipment, trash, or other objects; waste receptacles are emptied daily, all work area including the loading dock are kept clean and orderly; storage bins and rack are dusted semi-annually.

Monitor proper storage of parts and ensure they are in their correct location in a neat and orderly manner and are not protruding into the aisles.

Monitor doors from warehouse to service shop and expandable gates to loading dock are closed at all times.

Ensures staff is utilizing appropriate safety measures safety appliances (including safety glasses and safety shoes) are being worn, all equipment is operated in a safe manner and safety rules are observes and practices. Reports all accidents or safety violations to the Parts Manager immediately.

Receiving and Storage All incoming merchandise is verified against the waybill and proper departments notified. Any shortages or damages are noted on waybill prior to driver leaving. Stock orders are placed in bins same day and all stock order tags are turned in to Parts Manager for verification of quantity shipped. All discrepancies are to be reported to Parts Manager. Proper bin sizes are used consistent with on-hand quantities. All security measures to prevent shortages are enforced.

Order Processing PSO’s received in warehouse are processed within 20 minutes after receipt. Customers at will call counter acknowledged immediately, and counter customers processed within five (5) minutes. Shop tickets are processed and delivered within 20 minutes, or to branch established guidelines. Assign priority to counter and shop tickets based on work demand and volume.

Returns Credit memos received in warehouses are not permitted to stay more eight (8) hours without being put in stock and paperwork returned to Parts Manger. All counter parts returns are to be credited and put back in stock daily. Returns from Service Department are to be processed daily. No parts returns are allowed to come into warehouse without being tagged with customer name.

Shipping Parts to Customer and Service All parts are shipped the same day the order is received unless instructed otherwise. All outgoing shipments are correctly labeled or tagged to the destination specified on the shipping order. Parts shipped via common carrier to be properly packed, crated, and identified.

Training and Supervision Warehouse personnel to be cross-trained in all areas of warehouse operation. Minimum of one meeting per month is conducted, reporting attendance and subject material to Parts Manager within five days after meeting. All new employees are to be approved by the Parts Operations Manager prior to hiring. All personnel to be evaluated once annually, new employees 90 days after starting work. Warehouse supervisor to immediately notify Parts Manager with any personnel problems.

1 to 3 years of experience in parts warehouse operations.

Proficient in the software programs Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and DBS.

Must be able to comprehend, speak and write the English language.

Must possess good interpersonal and communication skills.

High School Diploma or related equivalent required.

Bachelor’s Degree from a four year college or university or related equivalent experience preferred.
