In our internship program you will be responsible for supporting your assigned team with a variety of projects and administrative work. No coffee runners work here in the summer, you will do real work that you can add to your resume once you have completed this program. For our top performing interns, this program is our pipeline for many of our entry level full-time positions.

As a Business Analytics Intern you will…

Merchants Bank Of Indiana

• Gain experience and exposure to the operations and various projects throughout the entire bank, which includes Mortgage (Retail, Correspondent and Servicing), Commercial lending and SBA lending.
• The Project Delivery Department will lead various projects and manage existing systems used in the bank to manage the day-to-day operations to achieve our strategic goals.
• Attend periodic meetings to both observe and contribute, which will focus on the software development lifecycle.
• Specific departmental projects or daily tasks encountered may include (1) creating a process to validate data critical for an existing or new business system; (2) reviewing existing processes / systems for Mortgage, Commercial and SBA Departments; (3) completing audits or system verifications as needed; and (4) supporting existing processes to ensure data quality and integrity.
  
  

Merchants Capital Corporation

• Learning Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and how to apply it through various methodologies.
• Go through iterations of building, testing and feedback with the development team and business to create and deploy a solution that provide value to the business.
• Data Analysis – pulling data from our applications and transforming it into meaningful information for the business.
  
  

The goal is that you will take what you have learned in your course work, apply it to your projects and then implement those solutions or recommendations.

• Have both a manager and mentor to help guide your through our program and your day-to-day work.
• Be given the opportunity to deliver a final presentation of your project/s results and make business recommendations to your department, team members and Company leadership.
• Work onsite in one of our offices for an average of 35-40 hours per week. At Merchants we believe that “Together Everyone Achieves More”, so we will not have a virtual option in Summer 2025.

Requirements

What we are looking for…

• Have completed at least your sophomore year of college. Graduates are welcome to apply as well.
• All degree programs will be considered.
• High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution required.
• Exhibit these core disciplines: Teamwork, Communication, Critical Thinking, Integrity, Self-Discipline, and Adaptability.
