ABOUT THE ROLE

The Logistics Specialist is responsible for monitoring inbound shipments and delivery performance, including inbound freight monitoring, invoicing and payments, and monitoring site inventory and usage. You will collect delivery documents used in financing arrangements, like lien waivers and inspection documents.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Assist in bid preparation and documentation for project RFP's (Request for Proposal), including pre-qualification information and bid tabulation.
  • Communicate with suppliers and subcontractors on RFI's (Request for Information) during the bid and RFP phase, and assist in coordinating meetings onsite or at their locations.
  • Assist the Procurement Manager to gather data and consolidate documentation to support contract negotiation and execution.
  • Input procurement data into tracking systems and analyze data for accuracy, trends, cost-saving opportunities, and areas of improvement.
  • Review and reconcile invoices against contract parameters and delivery schedules to ensure accuracy for reports in project and team meetings.
  • Support the procurement plan from supplier identification, through RFP solicitation, sourcing, contract negotiation, and purchase order creation.
  • Collaborate with individual department, as well as cross-functionally with other departments within the organization.
  • Maintain organizational excellence in terms of project timelines and deliverables.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business, economics, engineering, construction management, or relevant degree and experience; or equivalent years of industry experience in procurement or supply chain management.
  • Technology: Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, and an ability to learn company-specific software programs, tools, processes, and machines.
  • Skills/Attributes:
    • Self-motivated to work through complex problems and competing priorities, including a high level of detail and organization.
    • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
    • Foundational Excel skills, to include formulas, pivot tables, charts, tables, functions, etc.
    • Increasing levels of comfort collaborating and leading group meetings with internal and external stakeholders.
    • Increasing familiarity with technical information relating to product and process in assigned tasks
    • Ability to gather and understand project requirements to effectively complete a task.
    • Form and maintain relationships internally and externally with low and mid layers.
