Mechanical Design Intern

To support all new automation manufacturing technology projects, automation continuous improvement efforts, and implement best automation methods and standardization processes.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Design and detail in CAD various mechanical systems based on customer input. These systems will be using extruded aluminum framing and other mechanical devices as needed.
• Interact with customers to gather system requirements and ensure functionality
• Generate bill of material with machining call outs for each design.
• Assemble and test systems as required.
• Design, build, implement and provide production support for all automation systems used in manufacturing
• Supports cross-functional teams in the development and implementation of automated systems in support of manufacturing
  
  

EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE:

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Manufacturing Technology Engineering, or other relative technical field
• Experience using Solidworks and Autocad
