Inspector Quality Control

Job Overview

As a Quality Inspector II, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that a variety of components, parts, and products meet stringent specifications and quality assurance protocols. This position requires a keen eye for detail and the ability to identify quality issues related to design and processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough examinations and quality control inspections of products, materials, and components throughout the production process to verify compliance with established quality standards.
• Analyze statistical data from processes to confirm adherence to established standards or to identify discrepancies.
• Perform visual inspections of soldered connections and mechanical inspections of electronic and electro-mechanical assemblies and subassemblies.
• Prepare and finalize all necessary documentation related to the acceptance or rejection of inspected items.
• Identify design inefficiencies, process issues, and other quality concerns, reporting findings appropriately.
• Conduct routine quality inspections on engineering designs, assemblies, piece parts, final assemblies, and tooling.
• Participate in internal audits and follow up on corrective actions as needed.
• Other responsibilities may be assigned as required.
• Maintain regular, consistent, and punctual attendance, with flexibility to work nights, weekends, and additional hours as necessary.
  
  

Required Skills

• Proficient in following established job instructions and procedures with minimal supervision.
• Ability to apply a systematic quality assurance approach to resolve a range of technical issues.
• Skilled in measuring and utilizing test equipment as required by the job assignment.
• Capable of interpreting and following written and verbal instructions, including engineering drawings, charts, diagrams, and sketches.

Qualifications

• A Secondary Certificate/High School Diploma or an equivalent combination of relevant education and work experience that supports successful job performance.
• Vocational training, apprenticeships, or equivalent experience in a related field is preferred.
• 2-5 years of relevant experience in quality inspection or assurance.
