We are currently looking for a Philanthropy Intern to join our team in Franklin, TN.

A Day in the Life:

  • Collaborating with Nissan's philanthropy team to administer charitable giving and related employee volunteer activities by utilizing a granting database, internal SharePoint site, and other tools that connect Nissan with nonprofit organizations across the U.S;
  • Providing meaningful contributions to Nissan's CSR initiatives including responding to philanthropy inquiries; communicating grant status; facilitating grant awards; organizing employee engagement and learning opportunities; gathering and tracking outcomes for reporting; managing philanthropy supplies and give away items; and other duties as assigned;
  • Offering leadership for philanthropy activations, events, campaigns, and in-kind donation drives, providing key communication support internally and externally to implement successful activations; and
  • Engaging with members of the DEI team and support DEI initiatives, partnerships, and programs as they intersect with CSR, which is part of Nissan's DEI function.

Who We're Looking for:

  • Must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate/graduate degree program in Business, Communications, Economics, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA
  • Have strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects at one time
  • Be self-motivated and willing to challenge yourself to develop your talents and skillsets
  • Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
  • Have experience and comfort with Microsoft Office and curiosity to learn and explore new technology;
  • Possess a positive, can-do attitude and a willingness to be flexible;
  • Demonstrate interest in matters related to diversity, equity, inclusion, belonging, and/or social impact topics and pursue personal growth in DEI knowledge and practices; and
  • Be available for occasional weekend and evening events.
  • Must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident.
  • Ability to perform work onsite at Franklin, TN.
