Job Summary

As a Building Repair Generalist, you will perform routine repairs and general maintenance to keep our facilities, buildings, and equipment in top shape. You’ll work across a variety of trades, including electrical, carpentry, plumbing, masonry, and painting, helping us maintain a safe and efficient environment.

Job Duties

  • Maintain cleanliness of work areas and promptly address maintenance-related incidents (e.g., spills).
  • Troubleshoot and perform basic repairs and maintenance tasks related to electrical, carpentry, plumbing, masonry, and painting.
  • Properly dispose of waste and scrap materials.
  • Order parts, supplies, and equipment as needed, and manage inventory from catalogs or storerooms.
  • Record maintenance and repair activities, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Collaborate with the maintenance team when additional support is needed.
  • Adhere to 5S standards by maintaining a clean, organized workspace.
  • Follow all Safety, Environmental, and Quality procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Experience and Education

  • 0 to 2 years of experience in maintenance or a related field.
  • Ability to work independently, but comfortable seeking assistance with complex issues.
  • Basic understanding of maintenance across various trades (e.g., electrical, plumbing, etc.).

Competencies/ Skills

  • Ability to interpret work instructions and follow both written and verbal directions.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Manual dexterity and ability to handle tools and equipment.
  • Physical stamina to lift/move heavy objects and complete physically demanding tasks.
