Design for Leisure (DFL) is a team of hydrothermal spa specialists working in partnership with owners, operators, architects, and designers to bring European-inspired hydrotherapy concepts to life. Our expertise in building best-in-class wet areas ranges from small but luxurious residential thermal suites with acclaimed hydrothermal circuits for 5-star hospitality projects and luxury commercial developments.

What We're Looking For

DFL is looking for a Project Estimator willing to work in a fast-paced, multinational company. This position will require experience preparing cost estimates, analyzing project requirements, and collaborating with project managers and stakeholders. As a Project Estimator, you'll understand general construction requirements for both commercial and residential developments, with an emphasis on interior fit-out and specialty building systems. Experience with modular, prefabricated forms of construction will be given consideration. We are looking for a candidate who is eager to join a growing company in the unique wellness industry, has exemplary analytical and communication skills, with experience in construction or related industries.

What Your Day Looks Like

• Preparing detailed cost estimates for hydrothermal spa projects, including materials, labor, and equipment.
• Manage bid request and actively pursue new bid opportunities for private and commercial for contracting.
• Analyzing project plans and specifications to identify project requirements and potential cost-saving opportunities.
• Collaborating with project managers, architects, and engineers to ensure accurate and comprehensive estimates.
• Reviewing and comparing supplier and subcontractor quotes to select the most competitive and reliable options.
• Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of market trends, pricing, and industry standards to ensure accurate and competitive estimates.
• Participating in project meetings to provide cost-related insights and updates.
  
  

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience as a Project Estimator in construction, design, or General Contractor Estimating for commercial construction.
• Proficiency in preparing detailed cost estimates and analyzing project specifications.
• Strong analytical skills to identify cost-saving opportunities and ensure accurate estimates.
• Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with project managers, architects, and suppliers.
• Attention to detail to ensure comprehensive and precise estimates.
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  
  

Preferred Skills

• Bachelor's degree in construction management or related construction degree.
• Experience in 5-star, luxury construction projects.
• Familiarity with hydrothermal spa projects and prefabricated building prodcuts.
• Proficiency in using estimation software and tools such as On Screen Take Off, Bid2Win, MS Excel, and the MS Office Suite.
