Job Title: Global Health Coordinator. (Administrative position)
Danbury, CT - 40 hours per week. Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm, flexible.
Summary
The Program Coordinator works closely with the Director, Nursing Director, Regional Directors, Program and Academy Manager, Site Directors, and Site Coordinators in the field to provide daily administrative support of all components of the global health program including directly coordinating all components of the global health elective for participating medical students, residents, and supervising faculty members.
This position reports to the Manager of the Program.
Responsibilities
Global Health Team Support
Bachelor's degree with 3 years of work experience in coordination of domestic or international programs.
Excellent communications skills.
Computer literacy.
Personal interest in global health and health equity.
Flexible schedule for program events or duties that occur outside of office hours.
Ability to work comfortably with many diverse cultural backgrounds and personalities.
Preferred Qualifications
Positive disposition
Experience in program coordination.
Attention to detail.
Expertise in IT, including website design, marketing, and advanced computer skills.
Knowledgeable of community organizations and resources offered.

Summary

This position reports to the Manager of the Program.
Responsibilities
Global Health Team Support
- Provide general administrative support to the Global Health team as needed.
- Schedule, organize, and distribute record of meetings.
- Respond to all phone calls and emails regarding the global health program in a kind, professional, and timely manner.
- Submit expense report to the Manager of the Global Health program monthly using MS Excel.
- File and submit reimbursements to the Manager of the program for all program members.
- Collect information for in preparation of the monthly program eMagazine, global health blog, and annual reports as well as other writing/editing projects as assigned.
- Assist Manager of Program to coordinate travel logistics of the global health elective for medical students, residents, fellows, and faculty members, which includes:
- Work closely with site coordinators to arrange in country preparations.
- Work closely with participating medical students, residents, fellows, and faculty to ensure proper visa and vaccination requirements have been met.
- Facilitate communications before, during, and after the global health elective with field staff, residents, fellows, and faculty members regarding program activities.
- Assist in scheduling interviews for candidates of the global health program including medical students and residents who apply for the global health elective as well as new team members.
- Assist the Program Director and regional directors and other leadership members to coordinate and conduct pre-departure training/orientation of all selected participants.
- Provide presentations to incoming cohorts of medical students and residents at Nuvance Health about the global health program.
- Assist Manager of Program with travel arrangements for selected Global Health Scholars including international guests, physicians and faculty members from partner institutions both domestically and abroad.
- Provide administrative support for the preparation and coordination of Global Health Scholars.
- Assists the program director and regional directors in connecting current Global Health Scholars with appropriate curricular and extracurricular resources on and around campus such as lectures, conferences, etc.
