Remote Business Analyst - 1 Year Contract - NC - 742218

Job Overview

We are looking for a passionate and detail-oriented Business Analyst to join our team on a one-year remote contract. In this role, you will play an instrumental part in supporting the development of business cases, enhancing process efficiencies, and conducting requirements analysis for a new software solution tailored for NC Child Support Services. Key Responsibilities

• Identify and document stakeholders, data flows, and current and future state process flows.
• Gather, document, validate, and maintain both business and technical requirements to support market analysis, software procurement, and solution development initiatives.
• Translate client system requirements into agile themes, product backlogs, and detailed business requirement documents based on the development methodology.
• Collaborate with the Product Owner and subject matter experts to refine user stories and establish acceptance criteria that align with the project team’s definition of readiness.
• Work closely with vendors or internal development teams to ensure functionality meets predetermined acceptance criteria.
• Participate in gap analysis and detailed requirement development efforts.
• Assist the Business/Product Owner in planning and executing user acceptance testing, including the creation of test scenarios and test cases.
• Maintain requirements traceability throughout the project lifecycle to support user acceptance testing and successful production rollout.
• Aid in crafting procurement documents such as Requests for Proposals, Requests for Quotes, and Requests for Information.
• Support evaluation efforts for vendor proposals and assist in documenting the results of evaluations.
• Contribute to process improvement initiatives and market research for proposed automation projects.
• Facilitate options analysis and support the development of business cases for proposed automation projects.
• Document meeting agendas and notes effectively, while facilitating discussions primarily focused on requirements gathering and user acceptance testing.
• Assist the project manager in maintaining project artifacts and creating status reports, while also managing SharePoint sites for assigned projects.
• Perform additional analysis and project support tasks as directed.
