You’ll collaborate across departments to ensure budget accuracy, streamline reporting, and enhance financial transparency. The ideal candidate is a proactive, analytical thinker who thrives in a dynamic, collaborative environment and is adept at communicating financial information to both finance and non-finance stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Budgeting, Forecasting, and Reporting:
- Partner with program managers and department heads to ensure accurate budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Develop high-level visual reports, detailed schedules, and key performance indicators (KPIs), providing actionable recommendations to drive organizational goals.
- Utilize advanced Excel skills to create financial models and perform scenario analyses that support data-driven decision-making across the organization.
- Serve as a financial liaison between departments, delivering clear, actionable financial insights to both internal and external stakeholders.
- Communicate complex financial data in a way that’s understandable and useful for non-financial team members.
- Assist in implementing new tools and practices to streamline financial reporting and enhance analytical capabilities.
- Ensure financial records and documents comply with regulatory standards and best practices.
- Support the annual audit process and assist in maintaining compliance with all relevant regulations.
Qualifications:
Experience
- 5+ years of financial analysis experience, preferably in the nonprofit sector with grant management expertise.
- Strong background in budgeting, forecasting, and process management with a focus on making impactful recommendations.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel (including modeling) and PowerPoint. Familiarity with Workday Adaptive is a plus.
- Highly analytical with strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize and execute tasks independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to translate complex financial data into actionable insights for non-financial stakeholders.
- A collaborative team player comfortable leading initiative and working across departments.
- Commitment to accuracy and integrity in financial reporting, capable of managing both high-level and detailed work.

Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit, walk, stoop and stand intermittently
- Ability to grasp, push and pull objects such as files, file cabinet drawers and reach overhead
- Ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs.
