Position Summary
A clinical competent registered professional nurse who delivers patient care through the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation. Prescribes, delegates and coordinates the nursing care provided to patients throughout the health system. Effectively interacts with the patient, significant others, and health care team members while maintaining the standards of professional nursing. Meets all standards and requirements of LMHS universal job description.

Responsibilities
- Knowledge of instrumentation used in the OR suite
- Proficient in MSM software application
- Accurate documentation in the case record
- Resolve operational issues related to scheduling
- Protect equipment from damage due to improper handling or use. Troubleshoot equipment problems
- Obtain and prepare supplies and equipment by physician preference for each case
- Verify surgical site per protocol
- Procure, verify, label, credit and waste all medications
- Accurately collect and label tissue and other specimens
- Perform other duties as requested.
- Assist in maintaining clean equipment and surgical suites.
- Maintain current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Ohio.
- Demonstrate knowledge and consistent practice of sterile technique.
- Uses standard precautions
- Update and maintain surgeon preference cards as assigned
- Safe operation of all electrosurgical and power equipment.
