The Air Force Civilian Service (AFCS) is looking for a Full-Time Non-supervisory Logistics Management Specialist (Functional Analyst), GS-0346-11, to work for the Air Force Materiel Command in the 440th Supply Chain Operations Squadron located at Langley AFB, VA. To serve as a logistics management specialist in support of Common Aviation Support Equipment (CAvSE) acquisition phases of assigned systems, programs, or major equipment. To support Aviation Support Equipment Management Flight (ASEMF) duties to include use of Defense Property Accountability System (DPAS) as Logistics Specialist for Maintenance & Utilization (M&U) and Basing and Logistics Analytics Data Environment (BLADE). Applicant will have basic functional knowledge in Munitions, Armament, Propulsion, E&E or Egress. Requirements: - U.S. Citizenship - Obtain & maintain at least a Secret Security clearance - May work other than normal duty hours, including evenings, weekends and/or holidays - Shift work and emergency overtime may be required - Direct Deposit: All federal employees are required to have direct deposit - May require some travel away from normal duty station - Selectee may be required to serve a probationary or trial period - Situational telework may be authorized - This position has been designated as an acquisition position and is covered by the Acquisition Professional Development Program (APDP). - The employee must meet, or be capable of meeting, Defense Acquisition Work Improvement Act (DAWIA) requirements applicable to the duties of the position. KSA’s: 1. Knowledge of basic theories and principles of systems design, specifications development techniques; and an understanding of acquisition and maintenance requirements as well as organizational functions involved in logistical support. 2. Provide filed level subject matter expert to assist Product Groups and assists project/program managers with CAvSE program logistics plans assessment criteria. 3. Knowledge of system life cycle concepts and design as they apply to system research, development, and acquisition. 4. Provides continuing CAvSE liaison with technical specialists such as engineers, supply and maintenance specialists, technical data experts, project managers, training specialists, and others whose participation is vital to the overall success of the ILS plan. 5. Ability to plan, analyze, and coordinate CAvSE to applicable product group for acquisition and transfer into operational use; to include the identification and correlation of specific CAvSE requirements for capability replacement, replenishment, and modernization of mobility and daily use equipment requirements. 6. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
