Position Summary

The Director of Clinical Operations is responsible for providing leadership and direction for the successful planning, development, and execution of clinical-based practices across Verbal Beginnings center-based, early intervention services. They will ensure the implementation of ABA therapy services in accordance with clinical best practices and are responsible for the clinical effectiveness of center-based staff. The Director of Clinical Operations is fundamentally responsible for ensuring the programmatic adherence to the mission, vision, and culture of Verbal Beginnings.

Responsibilities

As a Director of Clinical Operations, you will:

  • Monitor clinical performance across centers.
    • Develops training, guidance, and oversight as needed.
  • Routinely report on critical clinical and operational performance metrics, supporting data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement for all centers.
    • Utilization
    • Denial rate for treatment plans
    • Appeals
    • Client outcomes across the centers
  • Collaborate with Operational Team Members.
  • Provide mentorship and consultation to clinical leadership across centers.
  • Provide oversight and training of Verbal Beginnings safety standards.
  • Develop and Implement Clinical Standards and Processes for Center Operations.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with local universities, local and national organizations related to the field of ABA.
  • Develop and oversee Verbal Beginnings' standards for BCBA trainee supervision program.
  • Establish standards and competencies for peer reviews and insurance-based regulations
  • Annual participation in free VBU CEU events.
  • Support quarterly evaluations process for center clinical leadership according to VBC policies and procedures.
  • Promote and uphold Verbal Beginnings' mission, vision, and core values.
  • Establish and uphold ethical clinical practices across centers.
  • Comply with all company policies outlined in the Employment Agreement, BCBA/BCaBA Manual, and Center Policies documents.
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications

About You:

  • Board Certified Behavior Analyst in good standing
  • Licensure to practice ABA in the State of Maryland (LBA)
  • Meets supervision requirements set forth by the BACB
  • Experience implementing clinical programs and systems in clinic-based settings
  • Previous experience with supervision per BACB standards
  • Previous experience with early intervention with an emphasis on Verbal Behavior
  • BLS/CPR certification, including pediatric BLS/CPR
