Job Summary

Reporting to the Senior Director of Events and Board Operations, the Development Coordinator will work with the Events team to prepare for the fiscal year’s event season. The successful candidate will be extremely organized, proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, have an interest in fundraising and event planning, and be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Responsibilities And Essential Functions

  • Serves as key member of the events team responsible for implementing and growing critical signature fundraising events in important markets
  • Solicits contributions (cash and in-kind) from businesses and individuals to support special events
  • Assists with event venue and vendor selection by researching online, calling for estimates, etc.
  • Participates as a broader member of the organization by staffing events as needed
  • Liaises with all levels of donors, Board Members and government officials as needed
  • Inputs event information including purchases, donations, and event attendance in the database to ensure constituent records are accurately maintained
  • Maintains RSVPs for each event
  • Manages event auctions including solicitation of items, maintaining auction list, creating bid sheets, display sheets, prize letters and other auction related materials
  • Assists team in ensuring deliverables are met for event sponsors
  • Updates and maintains event-specific webpages as needed
  • Oversees event invitations including mailing, stuffing and postage
  • Submits invoices in database for event-related expenses
  • Keeps track of all event-related expenses
  • Maintains event budgets as needed
  • Files receipts for all events following organizational processes
  • Creates PowerPoint and Microsoft Word sponsorship decks and presents at meetings as needed
  • Manages event supply inventory
  • Participates in all-staff weekly meetings and other event-related committee meetings as needed
  • Collaborates and supports other teams including Marketing/Communications and Operations as needed
  • Serves as backup for the Coordinator, Office Operations.
  • Performs other duties as assigned

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams), Zoom, Canva, Raiser’s Edge, GiveSmart and Adobe

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree and/or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum of three years of experience in fundraising and/or event planning and management
  • Demonstrated proficiency in all aspects of event planning including the ability to multi-task while working on several events at the same time
  • Experience working in Raiser’s Edge Fundraising Software and Blackbaud Net Community

Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged periods of walking, standing, bending, stretching, pushing, pulling, or kneeling
  • Prolonged periods sitting at desk and working on a computer
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at a time
  • Ability to commute to offices and work-related meetings reliably and on time
  • Ability to travel as necessary

Pay Range

Starting from USD $60,000.00/Yr.
