Cartesian Therapeutics is a clinical-stage company pioneering mRNA cell therapies for the treatment of autoimmune diseases. We are seeking a Project Manager to manage growing mRNA based clinical programs. Ideal candidates will have experience with planning, oversight, and management of projects, collaborating with technical teams, service providers and strategic partners. As the Lead PM, you will partner with the Clinical Team to coordinate deliverables to ensure project commitments are met

Please note that the final salary will be determined based on several factors, including but not limited to years of experience, industry experience, education, and specific skills relevant to the role. Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional team members, to establish a development strategy ensuring synergy between strategic and operational activities
- Develop and execute project plans by coordinating with operations across various functional areas
- Manage project teams through resource planning, timeline development, risk management, finance, and budget planning
- Design, communicate and implement project plans in Smartsheet to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget
- Monitor progress of projects against plan; define and collect metrics to track progress and measure key deliverables
- Highlight risks and lead problem-solving, contingency planning, and decision-making to resolve and minimize impact of risks/problems
- Communicate information and updates to internal and external stakeholders throughout the project duration
- Ensure senior management approval of changes to scope, budget or timelines
- Bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences, Bioengineering, Chemistry or a similar scientific discipline; Master's degree a plus
- 5+ years of project management experience in the life sciences industry
- Strong understanding of pharmaceutical product development phases (early stage to commercialization) and the role that different functions play
- Experience with project management tools (MS Project, SmartSheet, etc.), advanced Excel abilities
- Proven project or program management experience within the biotech/pharma industry; experience managing projects within Cell Therapy preferred
- Certification (PMP or similar) and/or formal training in Project Management is preferred
- Excellent communication skills; able to lead cross functional teams and effectively communicate to key stakeholders and senior leadership
- Proven ability to establish, maintain, and lead high performing project teams
- Able to hold team members and vendors accountable to execute on time and within budget
- Knowledgeable of regulatory deliverables in Europe and U.S.
- Highly organized and process driven
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced, multi-disciplinary biotech environment
- Six-sigma green belt certification with practical experience of implementation is a plus
