Financial Controller

Join our dynamic manufacturing team as a Financial Controller in Waterloo, Iowa. This pivotal role oversees all financial operations, guiding financial decisions and contributing to the company's strategic goals. Reporting to the CFO, the Controller ensures accurate financial reporting, manages day-to-day accounting processes, and supports budgeting and forecasting efforts. Salary: $100,000 - $125,000 per year

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Lead the preparation of comprehensive financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and shareholder reports.
• Conduct detailed balance sheet reconciliations and make necessary adjustments to ensure accuracy.
• Analyze financial data to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for improvement.
• Manage all aspects of Billing, Accounts Receivable, and Accounts Payable, ensuring efficiency and compliance.
• Oversee and spearhead improvements in financial accounting systems, procedures, and controls.
• Handle weekly cash management tasks, including forecasting and maintaining optimal liquidity.
• Participate actively in annual budgeting and quarterly financial forecasting.
• Support risk management and insurance processes, including preparation for annual renewals.
• Champion the use and development of the Syteline ERP system within the financial department.
• Engage in special project work and perform additional duties as required to support the financial team.
  
  

Minimum Position Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Analytics.
• Proven experience as a Plant Controller or a similar financial leadership role in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of ERP systems used within manufacturing industries.
• Comprehensive knowledge of database structuring and query tools.
• Expertise in financial statement preparation and underlying processes.

• Experience specifically with Tier-1 suppliers to major OEMs.
• Advanced knowledge in database and ERP systems related to financial functions.
• Demonstrated ability in leading financial reporting and analysis.
• Proven track record of improving financial processes and procedures.
