Position Specific Description
NextEra Energy Marketing, the trading and marketing division of NextEra Energy Resources, is seeking a Director-Level Marketer that will be tasked with leading the sales efforts for physical Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) to oil and gas exploration and production companies in the key markets of Texas, New Mexico, and Oklahoma.

Job Overview
Employees in this role identify, qualify, and develop accounts for the purchase and sale of wholesale energy commodities in their assigned region(s). Individuals in the mid-marketing function will focus on value creation and extraction based on five classes of customers: 1. Retail Electric Providers (REPs), 2. Small to Mid-Size Utilities, 3. Municipalities and Irrigation Districts, 4. Independent Power Producers, and 5. Large Commercial and Industrial (C&I) customers. Additionally, this position will work closely with the traders and credit and legal departments to execute profitable transactions.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategies to market and sell LNG to upstream companies (exploration and production firms).
- Build and maintain relationships with existing and potential clients, specifically in the oil and gas sectors across TX, NM, and OK.
- Leverage industry knowledge and contacts to grow the market presence of NextEra Energy Marketing in the LNG space.
- Work closely with engineering and supply chain teams to ensure smooth operations and delivery of LNG products.
- Function as the primary point of contact between clients and internal teams to ensure seamless communication and alignment on commercial objectives.
- 10+ years of commercial experience at an energy marketing firm, with a strong focus on natural gas (LNG, CNG, RNG), propane, or diesel/fuel oil.
- Demonstrated success in LNG marketing and a deep understanding of the unique dynamics of the energy industry.
- Additional experience in gas-fired equipment marketing (such as rental generators, dual fuel pressure pumps, or drilling rigs) will be advantageous.
- A robust network of engineering and supply chain contacts within the oil and gas industry, which will allow the candidate to drive business quickly upon starting.
- Ability to work independently and thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

- Maintains frequent communications to identify customers' explicit and implicit needs and willingness to transact for both new and existing accounts
- Disseminates strategic information to the trading desk in order to help traders extract value from the volatile commodity markets
- Understands relevant regulations for regional wholesale energy generation and transmission and the state of business affairs within the market
- Maintains familiarity with market supply/demand fundamentals and futures market trends
- Understands the credit and legal aspects of document negotiations including ISDAs, EEIs, NAESBs and WSPPs
