Job Overview

We are in search of a dedicated and enthusiastic Supervisor to lead our Early Youth Employment Services program, tailored specifically for youth with disabilities. In this pivotal leadership position, you will be tasked with managing the Youth Educational Program within defined geographic regions while supervising a team of instructors. Your efforts will be crucial in ensuring our services are seamlessly coordinated with local educational institutions, referral networks, and students.

Geographic Areas Of Focus

  • South Metro Atlanta, including Atlanta, DeKalb, Douglas, and Clayton Counties, with avenues for expansion into adjacent areas.
  • Northeast Metro Area, covering Gwinnett, Forsyth, North Fulton, Dawson, and Hall Counties, with potential for growth in the northeast.
  • Northwest Metro Area, spanning Cobb, Paulding, Cherokee, and Bartow Counties, with opportunities for northwest expansion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise the daily operations of the program, providing services in both educational settings and community environments during school breaks and summer.
  • Oversee scheduling for program staff, ensuring exceptional service delivery from initial referral through to program completion for each student.
  • Secure service authorizations and maintain comprehensive reporting records for all individuals receiving services.
  • Ensure timely preparation and submission of participant case notes and monthly status reports by instructors, utilizing the Vertex system for documentation and billing.
  • Cultivate robust relationships with community partners, including clients, parents, educational institutions, and local businesses to enhance program delivery.
  • Assist instructors with the implementation of pre-vocational skills curricula for middle and high school students as required.
  • Manage daily administrative tasks for staff, including timecard submissions, payroll approvals, and annual performance evaluations.
  • Contribute to the enhancement of pre-vocational skills curricula (career exploration, job readiness, interview skills) to align with participant needs and program objectives.
  • Maintain accurate records for data metrics and demographic tracking.
  • Educate the community about the program and its advantages.
  • Serve as a cultural ambassador, fostering an environment of trust, alignment, transparency, and accountability within the organization.
  • Communicate and engage effectively with colleagues, management, and external stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in education, special education, rehabilitation, sociology, behavioral sciences, business administration, or a related discipline.
  • Preferred: 1-2 years of supervisory experience and 3 years of teaching experience.
  • Experience working with individuals with disabilities is also preferred.
