Basic Purpose Of Position
The purpose of this position is to compile, evaluate, maintain and present human resource data/information relative to an employees’ lifecycle and assist the Director and Administrators of Human Resource Services with meeting the human resource needs of the Organization. Assists in the analysis and improvement of daily activities associated with various HRS processes and programs.

Major Responsibilities And Duties
DESCRIPTION OF TASK
Manage and maintain Human Resource Information System (HRIS) and other databases and records by entering, updating, distributing, and retrieving employee information relative to an employee’s life cycle. Update organizational structure in the HRIS and send notification to affected employees and management as required.
Record changes to an employee’s status (e.g., change of address, promotions, leave balances, transfers, rate increases, terminations, tax impact changes etc.) and forward notification to affected employees and management as required.
Serve as Lead Time Administrator by managing the weekly time entry validation process which includes ensuring base time is entered for the workforce and submitted to Payroll in a timely and orderly fashion. Receive, troubleshoot and resolve time entry questions/issues from Time Administrators, managers, employees and payroll staff. Work to resolve any issues that impact payroll as part of the validation process. Provide guidance and direction to departmental Time Administrators. Manage the email box for Time Administrator for inquiries and requests for assistance.
Serve as backup to the Administrator, Compensation/HRIS in the administration and maintenance of the compensation reports, all monthly Board and CEO reports and other employee data.
Assist the Administrator, Compensation/HRIS as directed by the Director, Human Resource Services and Administrator, Compensation/HRIS in compiling and analyzing data and preparing and distributing reports, correspondence, special projects and related information in assessing needs of the Organization.
Serve as the HRS liaison to the Pennsylvania State Employees’ Retirement System (SERS) which includes data entry relative to the employee life cycle (i.e., pension plan enrollment, address/class election changes, separation, researching and the retrieval of employee information), and the agency debt administration and notification process.
Participate in testing and troubleshooting of the Human Resource Information System as directed by the Director, Human Resource Services and Administrator, Compensation/HRIS including year-end testing in collaboration with organizational stakeholders and consultants as required.
Prepare employment information and verification of wage/salary inquiries. Respond to telephone or written requests for verifications of employment, completion of unemployment claims, and other requests for information (e.g. requests for information from other departments and outside organizations).
Assist in preparation of all Standard Operating Procedures.
Provide support to the Director, Human Resource Services and other HRS Administrators as directed.
Assists in maintaining a safe and secure work environment by participating in required training, recognizing and reporting hazards and suspicious activity.

EDUCATION/TRAINING
Required
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Computer Science, Business Administration OR 4 years’ experience in Human Resources.
- Minimum of 2 years progressive experience in field of human resources.
- Minimum of 2 years hands-on experience working with HRIS.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and Power Point.
- Minimum of 2 years hands-on experience working with SAP (ECC).
