Job Overview

The Remote Imaging Services Reading Room Coordinator plays a pivotal role in ensuring effective communication within the imaging services sector. This position is vital for maintaining operational efficiency and facilitating seamless interactions between healthcare providers and Radiologists.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage incoming calls to address urgent concerns and facilitate communication between medical providers.
• Stay attuned to the diagnostic worklist to prioritize and ensure timely reporting of images.
• Communicate proficiently to expedite the reading process of imaging results.
• Serve as a liaison for physicians, ensuring efficient monitoring of diagnostic worklists and the prioritization of urgent examinations for Radiologists.
• Answer and triage calls directed to Radiologists, and make outbound calls on their behalf.
• Ensure prompt delivery of sensitive information, which is to be reviewed by appropriate physicians while ensuring that reports reach the correct referring parties.
• Facilitate effective physician-to-physician communication to enhance patient safety and optimize workflow.
• Support on-call Radiologists by providing troubleshooting assistance and contributing to ongoing workflow and performance enhancements.
• Perform ancillary tasks autonomously to allow Radiologists to concentrate on their primary clinical responsibilities.
• Complete additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications
