The Sr. Scrum Master acts as a servant leader for multiple Scrum teams, resolving complex impediments and managing various scrum processes. This role involves coaching and mentoring Scrum teams and junior Scrum Masters, ensuring smooth project execution across different business functions. The Sr. Scrum Master collaborates closely with Product Owners to prioritize and deliver high-quality products on time. They adeptly handle team conflicts and sensitive issues, oversee all aspects of product delivery, and ensure Product Owner involvement in business decisions. Additionally, they monitor scrum processes and meetings, drive team efficiency, motivate team members, and recommend improvements to maintain quality and timeliness, ensuring adherence to the Definition of Done (DoD).

Associates who live outside of a 60-mile radius of a corporate office (Birmingham, Carmel, Chicago, Orlando, and Milwaukee) may perform this role full-time work from home (WFH) from any US-based location, as long as you are willing to work central or eastern time zone hours.
All associates may be asked to travel to varying corporate offices periodically. Work cannot be performed from outside of the United States.

As a Senior Scrum Master, your responsibilities will include:
- Coaching multiple teams on Scrum; guiding various teams impacting multiple business functions in adopting Scrum and Agile practices and acting as a coach on methods and techniques to improve quality of work delivered.
- Encouraging creativity and working to improve the efficiency of multiple teams; identifying and removing complex impediments to Scrum teams served.
- Taking a new perspective on existing solutions when providing recommendations.
- Planning and leading meetings such as daily stand-ups, spring planning, and retrospectives; being accountable for decision-making processes that ensure quick inspection and proper use of adaptation process.
- Partnering with Product Owners (POs) on effective backlog management and sharing the priorities of the backlog and the reasons behind them.
- Ensuring that the PO shares the context and vision with everyone on the Scrum team.
- Acting as safeguard for multiple teams; influencing the organizational objectives of multiple teams by providing input into operational plans that support the execution Agile processes across the organization.
- Serving a resource and mentor for more junior Scrum Masters and colleagues.
- Having strong business acumen and an understanding of financial industry developments and changes and how they may impact business areas served.
- Have strong knowledge of Scrum framework, Scrum values, Agile principles, methodologies, and frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, XP, etc), and solid knowledge of the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe).
- Are knowledgeable in Agile techniques such as Writing User Stories, DEVOPs, ATDD, TDD, Continuous Testing, Pairing, Automated Testing, and Agile Games.
- Have strong communication and coaching skills, as well as project and time management skills.
- Are a good listener and can influence through empathy to the problems and needs the teams and respective members.
- Possess strong conflict resolution skills handled through conversations focusing on scrum values of openness, honesty and respect.
- Can analyze accurate sprint metrics such as team capacity and velocity to ensure that team is aware of their progress and ability to take on work in future sprints.
- Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or equivalent.
- Scrum Master Certification (CSM, PSM, ACP) and a SAFe certification (SAFe Practitioner) is required.
- Typically, requires a minimum of five years of related experience, including leading/coaching scrum teams, projects, and/or business initiatives; as well as solid experience in Agile Methodologies.
- Coaching certificate is preferred
- Prior experience with AI tools such as Exelia or Xtrakto is preferred
