Position: Adjunct Faculty in Chemistry - Remote

Overview: We are seeking passionate and qualified individuals to join our esteemed Chemistry Department as part-time adjunct faculty for the upcoming Spring 2025, Summer 2025, and Fall 2025 semesters. This unique opportunity allows for teaching in both our undergraduate and graduate programs, offering flexibility through in-person and fully online formats.

Key Responsibilities

• Teach between 2-6 credits, utilizing engaging lectures and interactive learning methods to inspire students.
• Develop and prepare course materials, including lectures, assignments, and assessments that align with established course syllabi.
• Provide timely feedback on assignments and maintain regular grading schedules to promote student success.
• Hold weekly office hours to offer additional support to students, either virtually or in-person.
• Attend necessary departmental meetings and contribute to program development initiatives.
• Implement effective teaching practices to deliver clear instruction on course content.
• Utilize technology to enhance the teaching and learning experience.
• Fulfill attendance requirements based on the academic calendar, ensuring presence during all assigned class periods.
• Submit grades for mid-semester and final evaluations punctually and maintain accurate course records.
  
  

Qualifications

• A Master's degree or higher in Chemistry or a related discipline from an accredited institution.
• Prior teaching experience is highly desirable.
• Demonstrated cultural competence and experience working with diverse groups of students and staff.
• A strong commitment to the institution's mission and values.

Compensation And Benefits

• Non-Terminal Degree & 0-6 credits experience: $3,000
• Terminal Degree & 0-6 credits experience: $3,200
