Senior Director of Insights - Player and Quality Insights

As an experienced Senior Director of Insights, you will improve future game development by prioritizing player-first strategies and identifying impactful growth opportunities. Reporting to the Head of Player and Quality Insights (PQI), you will join our globally distributed team, with options for on-site, remote, or hybrid work in Canada or United States (USA).

Responsibilities

  • You will lead a team that collaborates with global development teams to identify insights and develop actionable plans for each game franchise, ensuring alignment with a bold, business-driven vision.
  • Forge and strengthen partnerships both within and beyond the immediate teams, promoting collaborative relationships that support strategic goals.
  • Use player insights to create a unified narrative and guide game teams on quality trajectories, enhancing player experiences across all company titles.
  • Translate insights into recommendations that align priorities with the most significant franchise opportunities, driving growth and supporting decision-making.
  • Advocate for our players to drive player-centric decision-making and build value-driven studio partnerships.
  • Establish well-defined and aligned player cohorts by collaborating with different cross-functional teams.
  • Provide strategic guidance to senior leadership, communicating insights, strategies, and roadmaps to drive organizational success.
  • Elevate and empower existing leadership talent within the team, providing the tools, support, and opportunities needed for growth and excellence.
  • Champion innovative approaches to problem-solving and transformation, positioning the team as a leader in industry best practices.

Qualifications

  • 12+ years of experience in business strategy, research or market insights, including 3+ years in a senior leadership role or 10+ years in development.
  • Experience in the gaming or entertainment industry
  • Proven success in driving business results and leading organizational change.
  • Experience guiding and developing leaders to enhance their capabilities and promoting a culture of learning and growth to achieve organizational goals.
  • Experience understanding and applying qualitative and quantitative success measures, and connecting them to strategic objectives.
  • Analyze complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities, developing actionable strategic insights.
  • Use critical thinking and creativity to address challenges and implement innovative solutions, valuing diverse perspectives and inclusive collaboration.
  • You are passionate about games and understand the people who play them.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS The ranges listed below are what EA in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in these locations at the time of this posting. If you reside in a different location, a recruiter will advise on the applicable range and benefits. Pay offered will be determined based on a number of relevant business and candidate factors (e.g. education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, or business needs). BASE SALARY RANGES

  • California (depending on location e.g. Los Angeles vs. Sacramento)
    • $220,500 - $311,100 USD
In the US, we offer a package of benefits including paid time off (3 weeks per year to start), 80 hours per year of sick time, 16 paid company holidays per year, 10 weeks paid time off to bond with baby, medical/dental/vision insurance, life insurance, disability insurance, and 401(k) to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.
