Infection Preventionist/Staff Development Coordinator Role in Ensuring Wellness:
- Strategic Leadership: Craft and implement robust infection control strategies, aligning with evidence-based practices and regulatory standards.
- Employee Health Advocate: Oversee employee health programs, streamlining processes and ensuring comprehensive care.
- Quality Assurance Expert: Collaborate across departments to ensure compliance with state, federal, and accreditation requirements.
- Innovative Problem-Solver: Utilize your expertise to address complex healthcare challenges and implement cutting-edge solutions.
- Continuous Improvement Champion: Drive initiatives to enhance patient care, staff safety, and overall quality.
- Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in healthcare, showcasing your profound understanding of the healthcare landscape.
- Current RN license for the state (VA), demonstrating your commitment to clinical excellence.
- Bachelor’s degree (BSN) highly desirable, amplifying your healthcare acumen.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) and familiarity with competency/education software (preferred).
- Design, develop, and implement training programs and educational initiatives for nursing staff.
- Collaborate with department managers to identify and address specific training needs and areas of improvement.
- Conduct training sessions, workshops, and simulations toensure that nursing staff are well-prepared to provide high-quality patient care.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and make necessary adjustments for continuous improvement.
- Maintain training records and documentation, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Support new employee orientation and ongoing professional development for nursing staff.
- Keep abreast of industry best practices and emerging healthcare trends to ensure the relevance and quality of training materials.
- Act as a resource and mentor for nursing staff seeking to enhance their skills and knowledge.
- Assist in the development and implementation of clinical competencies and skills assessments.
- Foster a culture of lifelong learning and knowledge sharing within the nursing team.
- Championing evidence-based practices and best practice standards in infection control.
- Developing and implementing comprehensive infection control and employee health orientation programs.
- Ensuring meticulous record-keeping and maintenance of employee health records.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to advocate for employee health and safety.
- Orchestrating employee health initiatives, pre-employment testing, vaccinations, and more.
- Coordinating the infection control program, conducting risk assessments, and notifying relevant health departments.
- Educating staff, physicians, and community leaders on infection prevention and control.
- Crafting and implementing policies and procedures for a seamless onboarding process.
- Supporting administration with employee health databases and compliance matters.
