  • We’re searching for an Events & Experiences Designer to provide direct support to the Conferences, Events, & Experiences (CEE) Team.
  • The ideal candidate is passionate, creative, detail oriented, and dedicated to conceptualizing, planning, and executing a variety of events.
  • The Events & Experiences Designer will work closely with our CEE Team to ensure each event is executed flawlessly and exceeds expectations.

Events & Experiences Designer Job Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with our CEE Team to understand the client’s vision, goals, and budget.
  • Develop innovative and visually compelling event concepts and themes.
  • Create detailed mood boards, sketches, and digital renderings to present design ideas to clients and stakeholders.
  • Conduct audience research to understand preferences and tailor event experiences accordingly.
  • Select and coordinate the design elements, including color schemes, lighting, décor, fabrics, textiles, floral arrangements, furniture, and signage.
  • Oversee the production and installation of all design element, ensuring they meet the desired aesthetic and functional requirements.
  • Work closely with vendors to source and secure materials.
  • Coordinate with the CEE Team to ensure seamless integration of design and logistical elements.
  • Supervise the setup and teardown of event decor, ensuring all elements are installed and dismantled efficiently and professionally.
  • Serve as the primary contact for all design-related materials.
  • Negotiate contracts and pricing with vendors to ensure quality and budget adherence.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring stakeholder satisfaction throughout the design process.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging design techniques, and new materials.
  • Introduce fresh and creative ideas to enhance the client’s experience.
  • Incorporate sustainable practices into event planning and execution to minimize environmental impact.
  • Ensure events are accessible and inclusive, reflecting the diversity of the audience and community.
  • Comply with legal, insurance, health, and safety regulations always.

Key Competencies

  • Proven understanding and experience in event design or a similar role.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral).
  • Strong organizational skills, including multitasking, time management, and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing a range of design work, including both large-scale and intimate events.
  • Highly motivated self-starter.
  • Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite, CAD, Canva, Prismm, SketchUp, Blender, or other relevant tools.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong project management abilities with a keen eye for detail.
  • Polished and professional demeanor.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to travel both domestic and internationally, as needed.
