Position Summary
The Mental Health Assistant-1 for Asante assists in maintaining, restoring, and promoting patient's health through the application of psychiatric-mental health nursing principles as directed by a registered nurse (RN). General responsibilities include discontinuing saline locks, obtaining nasal swabs, adjusting oxygen rate of flow, taking vital signs, assisting with mobility/ambulation, intake and output recording, general hygiene/ADLs, and changing linens.

As a Mental Health Assistant 1 for Asante, you will have the opportunity to earn the following shift differentials:
- $1.27 extra per hour for hours worked between 3:00pm-11:00pm
- $2.15 extra per hour for hours worked between 11:00pm-7:00am
- $1.10 extra per hour for hours worked on weekend shifts

Qualifications
Licensure/Certifications
- CNA2: Acute Care Certified by the Oregon State Board of Nursing (OSBN)
- BLS: Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider certified through the American Heart Association (AHA) required upon start
- NCPT: Nationally Certified Psychiatric Technician, preferred
