Requirements / Qualifications
- Plan, prepare and deliver lessons that incorporate active learning and are based on California State Standards.
- Utilize curriculum provided by the school under the guidance of the Department Chair
- Create syllabi and pacing guides that are in accordance with established procedures.
- Sign Master Agreement Addendums
- Observe and evaluate student performance and development.
- Assign and grade class work, homework, quizzes, tests and projects.
- Track student progress by providing grade reports (at least quarterly) and completing report cards in SIS.
- Communicate student progress regularly with parents and ESs
- Manage student behavior in the classroom by establishing and enforcing rules and procedures.
- Maintain discipline in accordance with the rules and policies of CWCS.
- Respond to phone calls, texts and emails within 24 hours.
- Follow approved A-G Syllabi (where applicable)
- Attend monthly Science Department Meetings
- Attend professional development training, if required.
