We are seeking a driven and detail-oriented buyer to be responsible for selecting and purchasing quality products for all aspects of the RCX Sports business. Your responsibilities will include processing purchase orders, negotiating with suppliers, tracking orders, creating and maintaining an ideal inventory, addressing quality issues, and liaising with suppliers and internal stakeholders. The buyer will collaborate cross-functionally to forecast the needs of the business and make purchase decisions based on demand. This role requires an analytical-minded individual with strong communication skills and a passion for the buying process.
Job Responsibilities:
- Research, select, and purchase high-quality products and materials that meet market demands and RCX Sports quality standards
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and negotiate with them for the best pricing
- Process purchase orders efficiently and keep internal stakeholders updated on the status of orders
- Utilize demand planning systems to monitor and manage inventory levels, ensuring stock availability aligns with sales forecasts and seasonal demands.
- Analyze market trends and apply this knowledge to make insightful buying decisions
- Coordinate and collaborate with cross-functional teams to align purchasing decisions with business needs
- Assess the quality of stock received and escalate any discrepancies to suppliers and management
- Assist the Vice President of Supply Chain with preparing inventory and materials reports or dashboards for senior leadership
- Regularly review and assess buying procedures to recommend opportunities for increased efficiency
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university in supply chain management, business, or related field
- Proficiency in demand planning software and Microsoft Office
- Strong analytical problem-solving, negotiation, and cross-functional management skills with a clear focus under pressure
- Excellent communication (written and verbal) skills and ability to build authentic, collaborative relationships with internal and external partners
- Exceptional organizational skills and detail-oriented mind-set

Additional Position Details:
- Travel Expectations: Less than 10% of the time
- Department: Supply Chain Management
- Reports to: Vice President of Supply Chain
- Supervisory Responsibilities: None
- Work Schedule: Full-time 40 hours/week Monday-Friday
- Compensation Structure: Salaried (paid semi-monthly), FLSA-Exempt, eligible for annual discretionary bonus based on personal and company performance
- Location: Hybrid - We anticipate this role to involve a combination of remote work from home and on-site work at the RCX Sports office, located in either Roswell, GA, or Sylvan Lake, MI, based on the candidate's preference.
