Summary

As an Operational Key Account Manager, you will be responsible for managing and growing key accounts in the transportation and logistics industry. You will work closely with clients to ensure their satisfaction and oversee the operational aspects of their shipments. You will collaborate with internal teams to provide exceptional service and meet client needs.


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage and grow key accounts in the transportation and logistics industry
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure client satisfaction and meet operational goals
  • Oversee the operational aspects of client shipments, including transportation, warehousing, and distribution
  • Develop and implement account strategies and plans
  • Analyze account performance and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Prepare and present reports to clients and internal teams

Educational background / Work experience

  • Bachelor's degree in business, logistics, supply chain management, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in key account management in the transportation and logistics industry
  • Experience with supply chain management, transportation, warehousing, and distribution

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Knowledge of transportation and logistics industry trends and best practices
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software

Supervisory Responsibilities (if any)

  • May oversee the work of other account managers or support staff

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in business, logistics, supply chain management, or a related field
  • Experience with international logistics and customs regulations
  • Experience with sales and business development

Language skills

  • Fluent in English (written and spoken)

Computer Literacy

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software
  • Experience with transportation management systems (TMS) and customer relationship management (CRM) software is preferred.

For this position, the expected base pay is: $71,000 - $106,500 / Annual. Actual base compensation will be determined based on various factors including job-related knowledge, geographical location, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations.
