Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm
Compensation: Hourly, previous experience will be considered when determining compensation

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Assistant Controller to join our accounting team at Woodhouse Auto family. The Assistant Controller will assist Controllers with the review of financial and expense reports. They will be responsible for ensuring data accuracy with established accounting standards and procedures.

Minimum Experience and Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable motor vehicle record
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or business administration, or equivalent work experience
- Minimum of 2 years accounting experience
- Experience reviewing and analyzing P&L
Essential Duties
- Assists the controllers with the management of A/R and A/P billing statements
- Provides controllers with detailed financial and management reports
- Reviews the general ledger and scheduled accounts and notes any unusual entries and investigates
- Reviews the reconciliation of general ledger accounts with outside sources to ensure proper bank reconciliation, reserve accounts, factory payable and floor plan payable
- Assists in maintaining compliance with all applicable government finance regulations, including filing and/or maintaining of required forms, payroll taxes and deposits, income taxes, retirement records, etc.
- Stays abreast of current factory incentives
- Manages the payoff of vehicle floor plans and works with bank and franchise representatives
- Oversees collections of past due accounts
- Prepares sales tax reporting
- Ensures office personnel are using proper accounting procedures and maintaining accurate records
- Continually strives to improve data integrity and information reporting throughout the dealerships
- Serves as escalation point for accounting related communications from internal or external customers
- Regular and reliable attendance is required
Job Knowledge/Skills Required
- Proficiency in relevant systems (DMS)
- Proficient in computerized accounting software
- Attention to detail
- Critical thinking skills – Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems
- Time management skills and ability to work under tight deadlines
- Ability to prepare financial statements
- Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
