Meet the team:
As a Software Test Development Manager, you will lead a team of SDETs globally, to draft comprehensive test strategies, build robust test automation suites to improve the quality of products and speed up testing. You will build strategy for continuous testing leveraging modern AI technologies that would run 24/7 globally. Develop/ maintain Automation tests used by multiple teams and lead an Agile development model for timely delivery of Automation releases to enable testing of new features as they are developed.
You will report to the Sr Manager of Engineering and will be responsible for developing/delivering the Test Strategy and Automation roadmap for the Verification and Validation teams.
Where you come in :
Lead a global team of talented engineers in Designing, developing, testing, debugging and deploying Test Strategy and Automation roadmap
Collaborate with Test Engineering and Quality teams to gather requirements and build the required Automation features/tools
Lead the testing strategy for the mobile applications to follow a bi-weekly release schedule
Develop, monitor and share productivity metrics for the team and inspire/lead continuous improvement efforts
Mentor other engineers, provide technical direction and leadership for the team of senior software engineers
Collaborate with various teams to unify/reuse automation tools
What makes you successful:
Minimum B.S in computer science, computer engineering or related field and 8 years of industry experience in Automation and Tools development
Min 5+ years experience in leading a SW development team to build automat ed tests
Experience in leading a SW roadmap delivery, i.e scoping out work, negotiating timelines, running Sprints, working with QA, Debugging etc. and releasing SW to prod
Current hands-on experience in developing/reviewing code in Python, Java, Javascript , C++ etc.
Exposure to prompt engineering to leverage LLM in building test automation related artifacts.
Experience in measuring ROI from automation and leading a roadmap for Tools and Automation development
Experience in team management: Hiring, team reviews, promoting top performers, mentoring junior engineers, developing employee careers etc.
Experience in managing geographically dispersed teams (India, Mexico, China etc.)

Education and Experience:
Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent experience with 8-12 years of industry experience
2-5 years of previous management or lead experience
Travel Required:
15-25%
Flex Workplace: Your primary location will be a home office. You will not have an assigned workstation and will work with your manager to determine office visit needs. You must live within commuting distance of your assigned Dexcom site (typically 75 miles/120km).
