About This Opportunity

Are you passionate about empowering school leaders to drive transformational change in teacher development and student outcomes? At Leading Educators, the Director of Content and Coaching – School Leadership plays a pivotal role in shaping the future of education by guiding middle school principals and site-based coaches (Instructional Facilitators) to create thriving learning environments. As the DOCC – School Leadership, you’ll collaborate with district leaders to design and enhance coaching programs, lead dynamic professional learning sessions for educators and school leaders, and strengthen the capacity of site-based teams to implement impactful, content-specific professional learning communities (PLCs). Your work will include gathering and analyzing data on current instructional practices and school conditions to drive strategic decisions that elevate teacher effectiveness and student learning.

  • Crafting engaging in-person and virtual professional learning sessions that empower district, school, and instructional leaders to excel in instructional leadership, foster thriving school conditions, and master the art of adult learning and facilitation.
  • Collaborating closely with school and district leaders to deeply understand district strategies, priorities, curricula, and assessments, while engaging school staff to uncover their unique strengths and build from within the system.

  • Location Specific:
    • This is a hybrid position that requires monthly travel to Omaha.
      • Live within 5 hours of Omaha, NE OR Live in/near Des Moines, IA OR Live in/near St. Louis, MO OR Live in/near Kansas City, MO OR Live in/near Chicago, IL
  • Seasoned Educator: At least 7 years of K-12 classroom teaching experience
  • Leadership Guru: 2+ years in district or school leadership roles
  • Coaching Pro: Proven experience in instructional coaching
  • Content Expert: Deep knowledge in teaching, content creation, and instructional design
  • Curriculum Champion: Skilled in helping schools and teachers adopt and implement innovative curriculum strategies and pedagogies
  • Client Whisperer: Excellent client management skills with a proactive approach to partnerships
  • Presentation Ninja: Master of presentation tools like Google Slides, PowerPoint, Canva, and more
  • Data Dynamo: Fluent in data-driven instructional models
  • Adaptive Coach: Proficient in various coaching stances
  • Inclusive Educator: Experience with IDEA and/or ELS programming

Benefits

  • Compensation: The compensation range for this position is between $91,607 and $146,572 annually with the midpoint being $119,090. Candidates, either newly hired or new to the role, can typically expect a salary between the range minimum and the salary range midpoint depending on qualifications and internal equity.
  • Benefits: 100% paid medical, dental, and vision coverage for individual employees. Additional premium costs are covered 60% by Leading Educators for partners and dependents on medical, dental, and vision plans. 4% matching 401k plan, Flexible Spending Accounts for medical, childcare and commuter expenses, and an Employee Assistance Program (EAP). Benefits are valued at or above $9,000 for employees.
  • Time Off:
    • First three years of employment, full time staff accrue 22 days a year.
    • Five additional days are accrued after the third and sixth year of employment.
    • Leading Educators also offer 16 additional paid days off for various holidays, including three floating holidays staff may use at their discretion.
